Adding IP or Cookie Limits
You may be wondering “how do I prevent someone from taking my list survey more than once?” aytm has great options to help!
You can do one of two things. You can limit answers from the same internet connection (by IP address) or you can limit answers from the same device (by browser cookies).
Next to your survey title on the Target Market Page, you’ll see a gear icon.
When you click the gear, you’ll see your options. If you click the “?” icon next to each, you can see a detailed explanation.
- The first option is “Limit answers from the same internet Connection (by IP address)?” This option allows you to reduce the possibility of one person taking the survey multiple times from the same location. Keep in mind, this can limit people in the same place from taking your survey (i.e. an office building or campus).
2. The second option is “Limit options from the same Device (by browser cookies)?” This option allows you to limit the times your survey can be taken from the same browser. We give you the option to choose from “1-5”. If you have several people working from the same device/browser, and you want to accept their completes, you can choose options 2-5 and more completes will be excepted.
