Overview of Shelf Test

Quantifying consumer purchase behavior in an authentic shopping environment is expensive and time-consuming. With aytm’s agile Shelf Test, brands will have real-time automated insights into the impact of shelf placement and packaging concepts, and a thorough understanding of the shopping journey.

aytm’s Shelf Test allows you to customize and mimic a shopping trip for consumers, resembling the experience inside actual stores such as Walmart, Target, and Lowe’s. Shelf Test will allow each respondent to take products from the shelf and look at them in detail. Then, the respondent can add products to a shopping cart or put them back on the shelf. These actions are recorded for analysis to inform new product testing, price testing, or optimal shelf placement.

  2. Type or paste a list of products into the Product name text fields.
  3. Click the camera icon on the right-hand side of the text field to select corresponding product images from your hard drive.

The current default item limit is 50 products. The actions described here can be performed in bulk to expedite the process of programming your shelves.
