Shelf Test contains a product editor that gives you the flexibility to tailor your product images and control exactly how they appear on the shelves. Add facings to products, adjust the scale of products, and populate the shelves to create a test that precisely reflects what your purchasers experience when shopping.
1. Scaling Products
- Click the contact card icon to the right of each product to open the product editor. This is where you will customize your products. Your product sits atop a background with reference measurements for scale.
- Click and drag the handles on the upper right- or left-hand corners to scale the product to the height that it will show on the shelf. The height and width fields update as you scale the product.
- Click either the Height text field or Width text field to type in specific dimensions. These dimensions are locked to maintain the original aspect ratio of the product image and will update according to the scale of the original image provided.
- Click Apply this scale to other products in order to apply a specified scale to all products programmed in the current shelf test.

Images should have the highest resolution possible (at least 72dpi) and a transparent background. PNG files are recommended.

- Click the first text field to the right, in order to add or edit the product name that is displayed in the survey editor.
- Click the second text field to add a description (optional).
Note: Descriptions will only display if the eCommerce shelf type is selected, as it is the only shelf type to display a written description of the product. A description will only display if this field is completed.
